Southeast GP is built on fair competition. These rules exist to protect every rider on the track — from the 50cc peewees to the Open A hammers. Read them, know them, and race by them.

Ignorance of the rules is not an excuse. If you have questions before race day, reach out. We'd rather answer a question in advance than DQ a rider on the gate.

General Conduct

  • 01

    All riders and pit crew must conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike manner at all times.

  • 02

    Verbal abuse, threatening behavior, or physical altercations will result in immediate disqualification and removal from the event.

  • 03

    Alcohol and illegal substances are prohibited in the pit area and on the track.

  • 04

    Riders are responsible for the behavior of their pit crew and family members.

Safety & Equipment

  • 01

    Full gear is mandatory for all riders: DOT/Snell-approved helmet, boots, gloves, and chest protector.

  • 02

    All bikes must pass tech inspection before practice. Bikes failing tech will not be permitted on the track.

  • 03

    Bikes must have a working kill switch accessible to the rider.

  • 04

    No modifications that create unsafe conditions for other riders are permitted.

  • 05

    Pit bikes and quads are not permitted on the race track at any time.

Race Format

  • 01

    Each class runs two motos per event. Overall class placement is determined by combined moto results.

  • 02

    Moto length is determined by the race director based on class and track conditions.

  • 03

    The start gate order for Moto 2 is determined by Moto 1 finishing order (fastest to slowest).

  • 04

    A false start results in a jump start penalty assessed at the finish.

  • 05

    Riders must complete at least 50% of the race distance to be scored.

Passing & Track Rules

  • 01

    Riders must stay on the designated race track at all times. Cutting corners or bypassing jumps is prohibited.

  • 02

    Aggressive or dangerous passing that causes contact may result in a penalty or disqualification.

  • 03

    A lapped rider must yield to the lead rider when shown the blue flag.

  • 04

    Riders who crash must clear the track immediately if physically able to do so safely.

Points & Scoring

  • 01

    Points are awarded per moto on a standard AMA-style scale: 25-22-20-18-16-15-14-13-12-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1.

  • 02

    Season championship standings are cumulative across all rounds.

  • 03

    Ties in season standings are broken by the rider with the most moto wins.

  • 04

    Protests must be filed in writing within 30 minutes of the results being posted. A $50 protest fee is required and refunded if the protest is upheld.

Entry & Registration

  • 01

    All riders must complete a signed waiver before competing. Minors require a parent or legal guardian signature.

  • 02

    Entry fees are $35 per class and are non-refundable after tech inspection closes.

  • 03

    Riders may enter multiple classes. Class eligibility is determined by age and skill level as defined in the class structure.

  • 04

    Southeast GP reserves the right to combine or split classes based on entry count.
